About the Updates...

So, I'd imagine most people have noticed by now the complete lack of updates going on here. Well, here's the thing...

I'll admit that so far, Shards of Krino hasn't really turned out to be what I expected at all. It's been slow, somewhat boring, and rather unsatisfying for I believe both myself and the readers. There's been a lot of discourse over what the best method of selecting commands are, sometimes pages have been wasted or commands have just been extremely obvious and the first person to suggest the obvious would be giving up the chance to submit something unique for five more pages... there were problems.

Not to mentionn I've honestly been coming up with a bit too much as far as my own ideas, which, for a CYOA, is a bit problematic, considering you guys are meant to be writing what the main characters do, not me.

I've also been having second thoughts about the way the comic is drawn, the pacing has been awful, characterization and dialogue practically nonexistant...

Suffice it to say, I'm rather unsatisfied with the comic at the moment. Thus, the previously-unannounced-until-now hiatus that's been going on. What am I gonna be doing with the comic? Well, I guarantee right now that the comic is gonna undergo a drastic change, specifically to be much less reader's-choice and being much more sparing about that. No matter what I do, there'll still be moments of reader input, but a LOT less than every single page that results in people saying really obvious and uninteresting things.

The main question for me right now, other than "when do I actually start the comic up again?" (to which the answer to that is not right now at all because I want to focus on finishing Kirby Adventure before I really start to worry about this one), is the question of whether or not I completely restart the comic, or just pick up where I left off with Zijol in the dungeons, Lucy captured, and Yalda enslaved. The advantages to keeping what's already been made is that I don't lose a whole year of work to a reboot and you guys already know what's going on, plus I don't imagine I'd really change the story any at all of what's already happened. The advantages to restarting would be allowing me to actually have decent dialogue and characterization for the characters. Granted, I can do that if I just pick up where I left off, but it'd be better for the comic as an overall product if it restarted. I don't know. I think there are more advantages to just staying where I am in the story instead of rebooting, but I'm not really sure.

Either way, this is all just me rambling at this point. TL;DR, in case you weren't already aware, updates for this comic have halted and it's on indefinite hiatus until further notice.
